    Susumuk Residents Gladly Welcomed Habemas's Services Work

    PAPUA - One of the military units under the command of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command HABEMA, the Task Forces of the Para Raider Infantry Battalion 501/Bajra Yudha Kostrad, is currently conducting mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, especially in Maybrat Regency, Papua Barat Daya Province. On Wednesday, 4 September 2024, Soldiers of the 501 Task Forces conducted Community Work as a follow-up to Social Communication with Community Figures of Susumuk Village.

    Emphasizing the Soldiers' role, the Commander of the 501 Task Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Yakhya Wisnu Arianto, stressed the importance of the Task Forces’ attention to the basic necessities of the community around the Post. Therefore, through communication with Susumuk Village Community Figures, the Soldiers could conduct community work by cleaning the church area and repairing the graves of local religious leaders.

    A palpable sense of unity and shared responsibility filled the air as the preparations were underway. The Soldiers and the community were united in their readiness to conduct the Community Work. All residents and the Soldiers were equally enthusiastic about the task, which involved the active participation of Susumuk community members and the Soldiers on duty in Papua. The area of community work was a witness to the joint efforts of soldiers and community members. After the activity, Mr. Hanok Waymbewer, a Susumuk resident, expressed his gratitude, saying, "Thank you, Commander 501, the Church environment is clean now. God bless". This sense of unity and shared responsibility makes everyone, from the Task Forces to the Susumuk community, feel included and part of the collective effort.

    After receiving the activity report, the HABEMA Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, acknowledged the 501 Task Forces’ initiative to collaborate with the Susumuk Village community to conduct Community Work. His words: "The 501 Task Forces' initiative is a testament to TNI's commitment to provide help for the basic necessities of the community to support the acceleration of development in the Papua region." This acknowledgment from the highest authority in HABEMA underscores the significant impact of such initiatives on the region's development. It instills profound hope and optimism about their potential to positively shape the region's future. It makes the Task Forces and the community feel recognized and appreciated for their efforts, and it gives everyone a sense of hope and optimism about the future development of the region.
